washing machine?

the washing machine is washing but it is very noisy when the drum turns round either with power on or manually,ive also noticed spots of dirt on the clothes,someone said it could be the brushes,the machine is a hoover nextra optima 7,could anyone shed any light on my problem

not the brushes, more like the bearings have failed, check the drum by placing hand inside the drum at the top and push upwards any play is evident by the rocking motion of the drum .
to attempt to change bearings is a big job, not ideal as a first DIY repair
