How can I get my Sony Handycam CCD-trv65 to hold the battery in place?

I have a Sony Handycam Vision model CCD-TRV65 that will not click the battery into the secure postion where it delivers power to the unit. Something is not engaging but I don't know what. I have tried more than one battery with the same result. How can I repair it? Where can I find a service manual and parts?

if you pop your batt. out you will see 4 guides that are meant to hold your batt. alined and in the center about an inch down from the top a wedge /| if you press the Batt. release buttion this wedge should duck down below the housing of the cam. this is what locks the batt. in place and normaly protrudes a little bit and if doesn't the batt will work its way up. the wedge is spring loaded and may have weakend or broke or came deatched. i know it ain't much but i hope it is a start
