Second lamp that has blown on my projector in 2 weeks?

About two weeks ago, my Sharp projector PGC20XU blew its lamp. I received a replacement lamp and within 2 hours of use, the lamp blew again. The supplier of the lamp asked for a technician to check the projector's internal output to the lamp before they could supply a replacement. How do I check the projector internal output? I am technically inclined and have done electrical/electronic work like this before. I live about 3 hours drive from a major city and would prefer to do it myself.

Maybe it's something else, like a fun. Usually projectors have two of them: one in front of the lamp and one behind it. If one of them it's not working the lamp will overheat and blow. You should also check the temperature sensor mounted near the lamp. It may be faulty.I hope this will help you.
