My Thomson DT16300 has also stopped working?

On start up the recorder shows a traffic light sequences on the small LEDs but the main standby LED remains on amber. I've checked all the leads and they are ok. The TV is getting the aerial signal through the recorder which shows the connections are ok.

I had the solid amber light so I followed Chelsey's advice and went to the web site. It worked straight away and I still have all my recordings. Thanks Chelsey

hi,
I experienced the same problem. If you go to www.topuptv.com and from the home page click the link to the help centre, under set-up and trouble shooting there is an item about this. Follow this link - there are instructions how to reset. Worked the first time i tried it, only problem was it deleted all my recordings. I can only presume the problem was caused by topuptv.

Hi,
Having the same problem the box would't turn on at all. Just managed to get through to technical support after two days of trying.
You need to turn the box off at the mains and leave for 10 seconds, then turn back on at mains, continuously hold the standby button on the box in until you get a solid amber light, now you need to press the up, down, left, and right arrow keys in that order, then the standby button on the control and then dtr button. It can take up to about 9-10 times of trying apparently, but worked for me after 3 attempts. Remember after each attempt you must turn the box off at the mains. Hope this helps.
