Is there a modern debeading tool for plastic beading on upvc windows readily available. i had one few years ago but it got stolen .

i used to work as a miantanace man for a double glazing firm and i would say the same as bob todd. and i used what they call a chisel scaper to remove the plasic beading from the frame as the chisel is stiff and srong enough not to bend when you prize the beading out but you might have to cut the chisel down to about 2 inches long as it is quite long. hope this helps.

depending the style , you normally remove the rubber gasket outside (using scraper pick it out slowly) which then makes the plastic bead inside easier to remove , take out the longest bead first , once first bead is out the other three are easy ( make sure to replace gasket before refitting glass beads )
