Fisher and Paykel Smartdive 703 noisy spin cycle?

My washing machine sounds like it is taking off when it hits the spin cycle. The agitator when turned manually feels rough not smooth to turn.
How can I remove the drive to get to the bearings?
Steelo, January 2006
1. remove agitator
2. removal of touch panel.
3. remove lid assembly.
4. remove ring neck asssy.
5. undo screws to drive spline plate & assy (inside bowl) for removal.
6. steel bowl can now be lifted out.
7.underneath slightly pry-out pump clamps(2) to unlock pump for removal, turning anti-clockwise not forgetting remove wiring first.
8. unscrew rotor you may need to put agitator in, to hold shaft assy.
9. unscrew stator clamp plates, pull down on stator to remove POS sensor wiring if you have not done this earlier bear in mind its position also. undo steel nut that locks bearing.
10.remove shaft tapping the bottom upwards.
