the drum is not spinning although moves freely (as usual) with hand. does not fill with water. what parts do I need to replace?

check the drum motor. it sounds likely to be the brushes (usually £15-£30 a set).

these can be purchased from most electrical wholesale/outlets. take the old one with you to compare, as alot of smaller shops sell derect replacements rather than genuine spares. dont be put off by this though, as direct replacements are just as good, and a whole lot cheaper
