I have had a drill bit in my cordless Makita drill for ages and now can't undo the chuck, it is stuck. Any advice?

if its still stuck ken try tapping end of chuck with hammer this loosens chuck

Two pipe wreches will do it One on the ring behind the chuck the other on the chuck and turn chuck to open whille holding other tight. You will find it will release the chuck I've just done it with mine. Sonetimes you can use two leather belts or straps instead of wrenches.
