false chimney breast?

I want to construct a false chimney breast around a log burner. Is it ok to use fire rated plasterboard fixed onto a standard timber stud frame? Would that comply with fire regs etc?

this is only a suggestion,i am certain using timber around a fire wouldnt comply with any regs. You could use gypsum drywall metal stud for your frame,it is stocked by most major builders merchants, its just as cheap as timber with fireline board fixed to it would be much safer for what you need to do.
