philips 50pf7321d/37 without pic or sound?

I turned it on one morning and I had a pic and sound for about 1.5 seconds then the tv went silent and black. When I turn it on it makes a click like noise that it has always made but instead of the picture and audio coming on it stays black and silent. I still get the green light in the front and it stays on, just no A or V. Please someone save me!

we had a similar issue, the tv would come on then shut off and we had a red blinking light. we purchased our tv from costco a year and half ago and thought there was nothing they could do for us, but i called them anyway and they fixed the problem over the phone. what you need to do is if you have hd tv and are using a receiver unplug the hdmi cable from the back of your tv. then you need to unplug the tv only. hold down the power button on the side of your tv for one minute. now you want to take the batteries out of the remotes that control the tv. i had to take them out of both the phillips remote and the reciever remote. do one at a time. you need to hold power button on the receiver remote for at least 30 seconds(i have 2 power buttons on my receiver remote, one for the tv and one for the satellite, do both but not at the same time) then you need to do the phillips remote as well. this fixed my problem, i hope it will for you as well. apparently the tv needs the static removed and this is what will do that. good luck

Answered the question myself. Pulled the back off and followed the power cord to find out what board to start with. Then just looked for a blown capacitor and found two. Thought this to be right considering it was both A&V that I lost. Went to the shop and got 5 capacitors for 6 bucks. Replaced the two bad ones and Booya!
