TV Aerial?

When I had sky installed I stupidly cut my terrestrial tv aerial cable on the outside. As I am now renting the flat I need to fix this broken cable to provide terrestrial tv.

Is there any way I can do this without running a new lead from the aerial direct as it is a three storey building and my flat is on the second floor.

Cheers

The solder joint from the aerial socket all came out, how to fix that?

I would do it with plugs and sockets rather than terminal block because you are joining coax. Then use self-amalgamating tape over the joint.

Top man cheers for that. Will have a go at it at weekend.

If you have a bit of slack on the cable (you probably only need a couple of inches) you could put a plug on one end and a socket on the other, otherwise splice them together with compression crimps, terminal block, solder etc - you can't get a shock off the signal from an aerial so you don't need to be too particular about the safety of the joint, it just needs to work.
