My Siemens dishwasher - 3yrs old - doesn't wash dishes properly and the Programmer seems to be awry - shows 180 on a cycle that should show 120 etc., and is generally out of sync. Is it something we can fix ourselves? if not, roughly how much will it cost to fix?

I'm having the same problem,

THe dishwasher repair man came to check our machine yesterday, told me to contact Siemens for as new Circuit board which they would free issue.

Phoned them.
No hope and they insisted on sending one of the their own engineers out to fit it at their rediculas charge level.

As an electronics engineer myself there is less than £30 worth of components on the cirecuit board
