SHALL I REPAIR OR GET A NEW BOILER?

I got a 10 year old sime 80 boiler, its repaired twice now and again i'm sitting in a cold house and have coldish baths! Been told that its the heat exchanger and diverter value needs to be replace. Someone advised a replacement instead: the worcester bosch compact 28i. Whats better?

hi, i have fitted many boilers and i have a sime 80e, all the sime boilers that i fitted have had problems ie diverter valves
need repairs the odd pump replacement and on the 100 e andthe 80e a fault on the ingition pc board but never had to change the heat exchanger, so if the boiler is only in need of a diverter valve or a heat exchanger this should keep you going for a few more years if they aer fitted in by a good fitter ie[ NO]! leaks. the best boilers in my mind are the worchester bosch 28i with out question. Ifyour happy with the sime when it is working then why change?,If you have lots of cash then the 28i is the best,I say that the heat exchanger is probiliy still in very good condition and only needs attention to the diverter valve.hope this is of some help to you. keep smiling bob.

i would replace it as the latter one is a better model and should come with up to 2years warranty
