my desktop is running xp ,modern tower ,80 gig hard,2 gig ram,but to copy and paste stuff takes ages ,ie half hour ,form dongle to hard drive ,do the same thing on different tower takes about a minute or two,,done defrags ,disk cleans ,so on and so on,to no avial ,any answers ??? please.

I don't think CC Cleaner will help. I have the same problem, and a CC registry clean didn't do anything.
Does anyone else have any ideas?

Beware of CCLEANER. I tried it and it ruined my registry. I had to use RESTORE to get back what CCLEANER erased. Use with caution. You will be prompted to accept or decline certain files. Novices don't know better between important files and those that are harmful or unnecessary.
