My cd player keeps showing err and then spits out cd?

It does not matter if it is a new store bought cd or one that I had burn. I tried using a cd disc cleaner which that sounded like it was working but it still will not play my cd's What else can I do.

clean laser if fault persists then laser is faulty

maybe you droped and got messed up you should try putting different CD's, see if it will work.
