replacing glass in a UPVC door?

I have a double glazed upvc door. The glass in one of the panels is broken. It costs a mint to have it repaired by a glazier. What do I need to do to replace the glass?

Tut-tut, John.

The glass panels are easy to remove, just pull out the black rubber seals on one side of the glass, push the glass backwards and the angled beads come out very easily.

The glass panel unit is held in place by glazing beads that clip into place around the frame...see if you can remove them by gentle prising with a chisel or similar - but they can be ferociously tight to shift. Once these are out the glass panel is often made water tight with a form of sticky both sides foam tape, which has to be slit through to allow the panel to come out.
