the handle locks needs adjusting on my 8 y.o double glazing window,i have a 10 year gaurantee (new build)
but the company who fitted the windows say the 10 year gaurantee excludes handle locks ... is this correct?

the handles and window gearing such as hinges, locks etc are covered for a maximum of 2 years normally but will generaaly always last a lot longer! unfortunately the moving parts on windows are the first to start breaking because of general wear and tear! the 10 years covers the frames against warping discolouration or cracking etc. hope this helps!

They determine the gaurantee terms.
