How can i fix my IBM thinkpad 600x tupe 2645?

my uncle went over to hong kong and was throwing out this laptop, i found it and he gave it to me. the only problem is that when i turn it on, it starts up with the normal screen saying, IBM Thinkpad,and then the very next screen comes up with this securety block in which you halfto enter your password, you only get three goes and after that it disables the key board so you cant type, so you must turn off your computer and back on again to try again, you cant get arround it to my knowlege. can some one help.

This is a supervisor password on mainboard.
No chance to clear it.
You must replace the ATMEL (Security) chip or type in the right Keyword.

Remove the CMOS battery for about 15 seconds then reinstall it and power up. Press F1 to enter BIOS setup and set date/time then select save and exit. The CMOS battery is located under the DIMM (memory) cover.
