my tablet drawer does not open during the cycle?

my tablet drawer does not open when the cycle is running which leaves a full soggy tablet and unwashed dishes, I place the tablet in and dont close it, is there an easy way of fixing this.

The tablet drawer is opened by a device called a solenoid, that lurks in the dishwasher door. If its called it a day, the door won't open.
