can I fit modern w.c. to enclose all pipework?

i want to replace existing toilet and cistern with a modern w.c.which encloses all waste and water pipes...existing pipe comes into fromthe side is it possible to redirect to behind w.c. cistern type goes fullu up to wall.

I think you have a loo which has a separate cistern and pan, connected by a wash down pipe? You can indeed change this for a close coupled modern fitting - the fresh water inlet will go into the bottom of the cistern - this is called a bottom entry. However, you have the soil waste pipe to consider...if it goes straight out of the wall, then no problem, but if the waste turns down to go under the floor then there could be a spacing issue with the new loo.
