have it painted electrostatic they will come to your home and do it for about 150 to 200 bucks

Rub it down (as far as you can) to bright metal with emery cloth, then give it a coat of aerosol spray rust prevention primer, followed again with a white enamel spray paint. Brush painting will look truly awful, so avoid that!
