1 Unplug from wall - I say again UNPLUG from wall dont just switch off

Undo the plate at the back bottom back of machine

Undo jubilee clip on the big thick black pipe on the right as you look at it. This is the drum outlet so expect LOTS of water if it isnt empty

Take out the filter/ball from the pipe and ensure its clean with no socks in it (!).

Put the filter back in the pipe - dont forget the ball.
Push it firmly back into place and tighten the jubilee clip

Be sure to get it on properly or it will leak.

Put the cover back and plug in -

If it gived a strange message you may need to reset the machine:

1. with power on turn to program D
2. Press cancel
3. WAIT for door to unlock and open it
4. switch OFF at the wall socket
5 wait 20 seconds
6 hold cancel and power on buttons together
7. switch on at wall still holdiong buttons

in 2-3 seconds a message "d off" should come on
let go of buttons.

All should now be well unless the block pipe burnt out the pump which doesnt happen very often.

"can this be fix without calling anyone out?"

Yes if you feel confident enough to remove the lid and disconnect about a dozen cables and wires.
