finding the trip switch on a Dimplex XL24N storage heater ?

once again the trip switch on my Dimplex XL24N storage heater has gone, it cost me £80 to have it switched back on last time! i'v taken the front panel off and had a good look round the input and thermostat knobs but cant find the button or switch, any info on how to get it started again and where to find the switch would be very much appreciated thanks.

Your micro switch is underneath the metal front cover, you have to get down on your belly and on the left side and then the right side next to the foot is a short Philips screw take them out! Then remove the front panel, on the top right you will see a micro switch with a little tiny plastic stick (sometimes there are red) pushing it in should reset the heater ! If you can not push it in ? The other switch is gone and you can contact Dimplex direct and order a new micro thermostat switch ! They are easy to replace, but make sure the electric is totally turned of ! The mains to turn off is maybe necessary if you Storage Heater is on a economy 7 Deal ! Blessings wolfy

where do i find the thermal heater? wot dose it look like?

Do they have trip switches? I thought they just had thermal fuses that melt if they get too hot.

A trip switch is much more expensive than a simple fuse - a sensible manufacturer would not design in a £5 trip switch (and then hide it inside) when they could get away with a 50p fuse.

Have you been using it to dry clothes and covering up the air holes?
