LOST THE CODE FOR MY FORD PUMA STEREO?

I bought a secondhand replacement stereo last year which has been working brilliantly. However, when I needed to replace my car battery, I kept keying in the old number into the stereo. I now only have one chance left and just don't know the number. Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it. Alison

problem is that its a second hand radio. you have to get the chassis number from the original car it was fitted to, then you can get hold of a mate who is a mechanic and get them to ring the dealership with the chassis number. he/she can get the code for free on trade as is my understanding.
if you cant get the chassis number then ask the parts dept about any other options, but unfortunately your goose might be cooked...
