Things that stop a pool pump are,
1 mechanical - the seal has gone and let water into the front bearing and it is rusted solid - fixable; replace seal and bearings.
2 electrical -the start winding has gone. If you can start the motor manually by giving is a start with a screwdriver when switched on, but the answer is that it's new motor time
3 the winding/s start and/or run windings have failed - new motor time again - sorry.
Might be easier to buy a whole new pump - usually is. If its the winding failed - an insurance fusion claim might be worth chasing.
