Impossible to find a spare Disc Carrier for Braun Food Processor 4259 here in Australia, mate! But I'll keep looking.

I have a braun 4262 ( same thing) and i am snooping for a 1000 ml disc carrier also I tried to glue mine twice with epoxy, will not hold. They did a super design on this food processor , however they really screwed up on that thin hard cheap disc carrier. I thought maybe I could go to a machinist and make the same piece in metal what do you think?
