Why does my Electrolux leave a white film on dishes?

My new Electrolux dishwasher leaves a white film on my dishes and I don't know why. Any suggestions anyone?

Make sure there is salt in the water softening container (the cap is on the floor of the dishwasher) and set the delivery to about half way, if it is adjustable.
