I can transfer files to my web site host using Internet Explorer as the FTP client, but I used to use Dreamweaver MX's built in site manager. Recently when I try to upload files Dreamweaver connects to the site and lists the files on the server, but when I try to transfer a file I get a "waiting for server message" and eventually Dreamweaver times out.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like your firewall may be affecting Dreamweaver.

If you use a Software Firewall like Zone Alarm, make sure that Windows' own Firewall is not running. (Make sure only one Firewall is in use at any one time.)
