when i place a cassette in the player it makes a funny noise and starts to chew the cassette up?? any ideas what causes this is it an easy repair???. its a bush DVHRS02 model only just over 18 months old any instruction to repair would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest doing a Yahoo or Google search on 'repairing vcr' or 'jammed video cassette' (or something similar). Check the search results and see if they give you an answer. there are very good video repair sites out there. If the search results seem too complicated or make you nervous you should go to a video repair shop.
Another option, to try to save money, is to find a technical training school that teaches video repair, and ask them for help.
