Driver lost?

Hi There,
My DVD/CD driver has just vanished...no Icon diplayed in my Computor section, and in my Device manager section under the DVD/CD its displaying the two items with a round circle and a black question mark in the centre against the device model numbers.

How can these drivers be reinstated??

First of all you have not mentioned and clearly talked about your problem and error message but i m here with some troubleshooting so i request you please try to do to resolve your current CD / DVD problem and to do further...

But main problem is that you have not mentioned that what type of Operating System you are using at the moment sir. Please try to mention Operating System.

if not happen try the following steps and troubleshooting..
If none of those procedures revive the drive, we must put on the surgical gloves and hack the Windows registry. Here's what you need to do:

1. Click Start, then Run, then enter REGEDIT to open the Registry Editor
2. Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class entry
3. Under the Class entry, double click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4. In the right-hand pane, click ONCE to select the UpperFilters entry
5. Make sure the UpperFilters entry is highlighted, press Delete, then Yes.
6. In the right-hand pane, click ONCE to select the LowerFilters entry
7. Make sure the LowerFilters entry is highlighted, press Delete, then Yes.
8. Close the Registry Editor
by clicking File, Exit.

After completing the above steps Restart your computer, after starting normally i hope it will continue to work normally.

Try the best. have a good Day.
