why does my cane creek aheadset click and creek when i lean on it?

when ever i get up ot fo the saddle on my mountain bike my aheadset starts to click and i am concerned its bad? or is this normal? and how can i rectify it?

Two possibilities (ignoring stuff like your entire frame being bust). Either (1) the headset bearings need tightening or (2) you need new headset bearings. Try tightening the bolt that compresses the headset stack - and while you're fiddling with it, stick some grease in the bits where anything might rub. If that doesn't fix it, replace the headset bearings.
