As a result of a gas drop test a 8mb over one minute leak has been identified in my boiler any ideas?

Call a RGI to investigate, could be Gas control valve letting by, so that the gas leaks into the boiler and out through the flue terminal, this is quite common, however the White Rogers valve is now obsolete, so could be a good time to upgrade to a SEDBUK A Rated boiler such as a Broag Remeha etc
