ford transit 06 plate?

Hi, i have just purchased an 06 ford transit, got it home, and found an oil leak on my drive. Its seems to be comeing rom underneath. There's a round thing underneath, and thats where the oil is comeing from. Is this a serious problem, can anyone help? Thank you

This maybe the oil filter housing that you are talking about...its made from black plastic, is situated just behind the engine sump pan, with a large hexagon nut moulded into it? It could just need tightening up, but there is an 'O' ring seal that should be renewed every time the filter is replaced. Maybe its been tightened up so much that its actually cracked? Seen this too!
