Which adhesive can be used to fix a dryer lint filter?
My gas dryer's lint filter has a strip of flexible material on the edge which has come loose from the plastic frame. We push the material border back into its slot, but it continues to come out every time we remove it for cleaning, and it is getting progressively worse (a larger and larger portion of the border has come loose).
Is there an adhesive we could use to reattach the porous material to the plastic which would be safe from the heat of the dryer and safe for the clothes in the dryer? Sears wants $45 for a new filter plus tax and shipping, which seems excessive when a few drops of the right adhesive should fix it.
THanks in advance for any information...
