You can Remove the Network lock from your phone using unlock code.you can get the unlock code for your Samsung D500 phone from http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/samsung-d500/rs16wp9/ here you need to specify your country,current Network name, IMEI number of your phone. Then they deliver unlock code to you through mail with unlocking instructions. By using this you can unlock your phone easily.

You need to contact your Network and get them to give you the access code costs bout 20 quid, but if you have been with vodfone a year they will do it for free, alternatively look online for unlock software - i have some but no way of getting it to you !
