My passenger door on my 2004 Chevy Cavalier does not latch. The door handle does not work, the electronic door lock does not work.

I had a similar problem on a vauxhall astra years ago, what I had to was open dooor and pull handle on outside of door as if you were still trying to open it, whilst doing this get a screwdriver and push lock mechanism upwards then let go of handle.
