Hotpoint WD63?

I am being driven mad by my washer/dryer. The latest problem is that water is not draining away from inside the drum. How do I fix this. I reckon that it is the pump but how do I get to it? Can I get to it? Can it be cleared? Do I have to bite the bullet? or is the beast finally dead?

( oops, forgot to add this bit)
access to the drain pump, follow the drain hose into the rear of machine, remove lower panel, held by self tapping screws .

First drain off all the excess water into a bowl via the drain hose water should flow out by gravity, then check and clean out the HIDDEN sump filter,(FIRST HOSE THAT LEAVES THE BOTTOM OF THE DRUM )check all lower hoses for a blockage, check the pump is clear, and verify the pump works, a replacement pump maybe needed.
