usb 2.0?

i have an 8 year old vaio it has no high speed usb 2.0 ports, is this just a driver update or do i have to physically put ports in ?

The simple answer is to not use USB for WiFi.

Yes a PC Card would be MUCH better.

i tried to run a wifi usb dongle but it told me i need a high speed usb 2.0 ! would it be better to use a pc card ?

To upgrade to USB 2.0 requires new hardware.

However I would not bother. In depends on what you are trying to achieve with USB 2.0. Unless you are streaming data, it is extremely unlikely that you would notice any difference.
