Water leak from Maytag A610 Washmachine with water in drum?

It is a top loading Maytag washer.Fabric Matic Model A610, Leaks water when drum has water in it.
Are there any gaskets that could be repaired or replaced without a repair man. I'm pretty handy. but not able to lift or pull heavy stuff.
Thankyou
Chris

Hello,

You have open up the cabinet to find out exactly where the water is comming from to be sure. The worst case would be the tub seal leaking. You would notice the water leaking right above the transmission in the center. You would then need a tub bearing and tub seal kit which is around $120.00 not to mention the spanner wrench you would need to do the job. First, remove the front panel by removing the 2 screws near the bottom of it and tilting the panel up and out. Then get a flashlight and go searching for the leak. Hope this helps.
