How to remove cistern lid?

I have a Saval model cistern. It is intermittently overflowing after flushing. I cannot work out how to remove the lid of the cistern to access the flushing mechanism to fix it. How do I do it.

Yes it does work on a Saval Both buttons lift out and then there is a screw under the buttons. Be carefull when lifting the buttons as they a bit fragile. Tap is also under the lid. Good luck

if you get to see this, many thanks for your response. Exactly what was required.

I had the same problem with a Villeroy & Boch 2 button cistern.
The solution (which I found on this web site) and [hopefully will work for you) was as follows:
Depress and hold down the half flush button.
There is an indentation on the full flush button which should now be visible. This will allow you to use a screwdriver to prise the FFB up and out. Remove the HFB
You should then see a screw which when undone will allow you to remove the cistern lid.
Hope this helps

I think these are made in Holland? Anyway, if the lid doesn't just lift off, and there is a push button on the top, often these need to be unscrewed to allow access to the internals. Can't speak from experience on this one!
