Cookworks Microwave AM821 AHT-X2?

The turntable has stopped rotating. Is this a DIY repair job (new drive belt?) or do I bin it?
J. Norris, June 2009
hello guys i Have the same problem and i have done your check patrick. If i can get hold of the motor are they easy to fit / replace.

Tommy, November 2009
Hi Norris, most domestic microwaves do not use turntable drive belts, they use a direct drive 240v motor situated beneath the cavity and above the outer base plate. If the motor has gone look to £16 for the part alone. First check to see if the clover leaf shaped drive for the glass tray is not broken, ie spinning freely. For any further help find me via microwave-repairs.co.uk
kindest regards
