It is probably a fault on the Motor. Remove the Washing Machine Rear cover by undoing all screws and the 2 Plastic plates ( remove these by lifting the tab and sliding).
Unclip wiring, remove 2 retaining bolts ( One is through an elongated hole, and the other is on the reverse side of the bracket). Pull motor toward you to disengage from frame, and remove from casing.
Check the brushes are free by bending tabs back and carefully removing from holder. Brush/blow any dirt out, then replace brushes.
If it isn't the brushes, the Motor may be U.S. (Expensive).
If worn, new brushes can be purchased.
The above worked for me when I had the same fault.
