How do you clean the softener compartment to A Bosch Classixx. The rear of the compartment is inaccessible so it refuses to take softener when blocked. How do you clear blockage

On my Bosch Classix you open the soap drawer as far as you can, then push downwards on the panel behind the conditioner dispenser. This frees the tab so the whole drawer just slides out.

You'll find loads of goo in there. I cleaned it out but am still not convinced it works as it should.
