Kenmore 70 series dryer that gets hot heat, but won't dry?

I have a Kenmore 70 series dryer that gets very hot, when I say hot I mean it heats up. The coil lights up. I can dry a load of clothes and when I open the dryer the clothes are hot to touch but still very much wet. How can I fix this

I have the same problem, on a Kenmore 70 series electic dryer, and the reason it doesn't dry is that it stopped tumbling the clothes. I am trying to find out how to open the dryer to replace the drive belt. If the belt is okay then the motor might need replacing.

Hello,

It sounds like your exhaust vent is clogged. Try taking the vent off the back of the dryer and doing another load to see if that helps.
