i have experienced the same problem with a worcester 24i junior combi boiler also.

click click click click but no ignition of pilot light so...

either i need new electrodes or leads.

it all depend on what ariston boiler you have, but if clicking is coming from control panel then it could be either the spark electrode not connected properly or the pcb has failed but without knowing what boiler you have i cant be accurate
