Stains from Door seal?

I have gone through all the service prodeeure re cotten wash etc. Still leaves marks on washing. What can I use to get the rubber seal clean
Pam, July 2009
The rubber door seal is easily cleaned by pulling it gently forward and rubbing with a piece of kitchen roll or wet cloth, if it is clean and the pump is clear, do another wash and remove one item at a time without touching the rubber seal. If the items have still have thin brownish marks on them, take a cotton bud and place it just a little way into one of the holes of the washer drum. Twist it gently and remove. If it is brownish or matches the colour of the stains, the grease from the machines bearing may have leaked out and as such, the bearing needs replaced to remedy this. This is a job for the engineer only.
