I bought a very exciting little product about 5yrs ago at the SECC Exhibition Centre in Glasgow. Basically it looked like a sanding block, and at first I thought, Oh yeh, what a con, for £10 for two. I had to eat my words because this plastic handheld device with it's "sandpaper" plate, which we were told was NOT sandpaper but closely related to it, would remove hairs from most fibre surfaces and also de-fuzz cothing.
AND IT WORKS! Google the name AMAZE BRUSH or eg. go to QVC's site, or cuttingedgeconsumerproducts.co.uk where you can buy it and refills. Used correctly the item will draw fibres together into a line of waste which you then easily lift off. I guess if you go over the floor/clothing first with sticky parcel tape etc. that will help but I have never found the need for this. I sound like I own the company..haha..but I genuinely feel that this could be your answer. It's not expensive and it DOES work. Hope that helps.
