Most of the problems with this unit is overheating. I know that in some cars a fan has been added behind the dash to overcome this problem. I have had mine serviced because of this but it appears to be a design problem. The other possibility is that one or more of your speakers is shorting out and causing the unit to overheat. The other issue is that Alpine do service it (about £75+) but they give no feedback as to what was the problem! Life was never easy!!
