How do I reset my WMA62P Hotpoint Washing machine?

We had a power failure and he Hotpoint Washing machine is now stuck. We rang the hotpoint guys and they said an Engineer needs to come out and and he has the reset code with. Does anybody know how to reset this as they want to charge £160 for this. Please help
