slight leak from bearing on hotpont wm72,how do i repair?

i've got a hotpoint ultima 1200 wm 72, noticed water coming from rear of drum( i think its the bearing assembly) you can see where its been running, all black with grease from bearing. if i replace the bearings, will this stop the leak?

if you have black stain on the rear of the drum coming from the bearings the bearing outer housing has probable spun in the drum it's self damaging the bearing location which means replacing the bearings will be a waste of time, Sorry.

that should stop the problem you will get a water seal with the bearings, it sounds like that and possibly the bearings have gone/been damaged
